As you can see from the data we gathered in our GPU benchmark hierarchy, the RTX 5070 offers triple-digit frame rates at 1080p without any upscaling or frame generation assistance. At 4K, its average drops to 37.6 FPS, making 1440p the ideal sweet spot for native resolution. As with other RTX 50-series GPUs, the RTX 5070 supports DLSS Super Resolution and Multi-Frame Generation.

However, even at stock settings, the Core i7-14700K offers 97% of the gaming performance of the Core i9-14900K. — Jake Roach

Get a gaming mic for streaming for just $45

HyperX SoloCast 2

HyperX is known for its excellent line of gaming microphones — they're easy to use, they make you sound great, and they have a handy tap-to-mute button that works perfectly. While the QuadCast 2 S is the company's flagship mic with four polar patterns, most people only need one. And that's where the SoloCast 2 comes in.

This USB condenser microphone features just one polar pattern (cardioid), and is designed to pick up the voice of one person directly in front of it. It's a very sturdily built mic — a solid black cylinder with a metal grille, and it weighs almost 13 ounces (365.7g). But unlike most microphones, this actually hides a built-in stand. You can tilt the microphone back about 40 degrees (which angles it right at your face, if it's sitting on a desk). The bottom is lined with rubber so it won't slip around, and there's also a mounting point for those who would still prefer to mount it on a boom arm.

SoloCast 2: was $59.99 now $44.98
This 14mm electret condenser capsule mic features an integrated desktop stand that tilts the mic upward 40 degrees (there's a mounting point on the bottom of the stand, in case you do want to mount it on a boom arm). The mic has a USB-C port at the back and a large tap-to-mute button on top, as well as a red indicator light that lets you know when the mic is muted. The microphone records at a high-res 24-bit / 96 kHz bit-depth/sample rate, and it sounds very good out of the box. It has a built-in internal shock mount and pop filter, but it definitely benefits from being mounted instead of just sitting on your desk. However, it's nice to know the option is always there, thanks to the built-in desk stand.

It's a pretty simple mic, and it's already pretty budget-friendly at retail price. But now it's even cheaper — just $44.99 at HyperX, down $15 from its original price of $59.99. You can read my full review here. — Sarah

  • 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2
  • 2x Thunderbolt 5 downstream (80 Gbps bi-directional)

I previously tested the WL-UTD58-M version of this dock, which is identical, save for the inclusion of an internal M.2 slot for a PCIe 4.0 SSD. It offers good overall performance and easily accessible ports. My main gripe with the dock is that the Thunderbolt 5 port for connecting to the host machine is on the front of the unit instead of the back. — Brandon Hill

The best budget gaming chair gets even cheaper

Earlier today, I shared a great deal on the Razer Iskur V2 X gaming chair in the UK, and now there's an equally handsome deal in the US. The sleek grey variant has fallen to its lowest-ever price of just $189. You can also get it in Razer's trademark black and green for $219.

Razer Iskur V2 X Ergonomic Gaming Chair: was £299.99 now £189.51
The budget-friendly alternative to the Iskur V2, the Razer Iskur V2 X is a no-frills alternative that drives the price down by removing some of the adjustability options. That said, this chair still comes with built-in lumbar support, 2D armrests, and a 152-degree recline.View Deal

As our Razer Iskur V2 X review explains, this is a slightly less luxurious version of the OG Iskur V2. It has a few compromises, but it’s still the same high-quality construction that we saw when we reviewed the original. It’s got significant support on the base and back, high-density foam for the seat cushion, and adjustable 2D armrests. Upgrade to an RTX 5060 desktop with the ABS Cyclone for $1,099.99, $300 off list price

Newegg has a solid deal on an entry-level gaming desktop with an RTX 5060 and Core i5-14400F. It's built on a DDR4 platform, but this configuration comes with 32GB of memory, along with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. ABS is Newegg's in-house PC brand, so you can browse the specific components of the rig by following the link below.

The ABS Cyclone Aqua is a prebuilt desktop with 32GB of DDR4 memory, a Core i5-14400F, RTX 5060, and 1TB SSD. View Deal

Based on our testing, DDR4 represents about a 13% drop in gaming performance at 1080p with Intel's Raptor Lake Refresh chips. However, that drop is less severe on weaker CPUs like the Core i5-14400F. The Core i5-14400F doesn't have the multithreaded power of the 14600K in applications, but it still comes with the same six P-cores that are essential in games, along with four E-cores.

For the GPU, the RTX 5060 is squarely position to handle modern AAA gaming at 1080p, achieving an average of 64 FPS in our 19-game test suite that includes some demanding path tracing titles. You can't go wrong with either of these screens, as we've tested both and both got our Editors' Choice for their performance. The AW2725DF is an older model from 2024, while the AW3426DW launched in the middle of this year and therefore has a newer panel. But both are made by Samsung and feature vivid colors and inky blacks.

On the AW3426DW in particular, our color testing showed that the screen was accurate out of the box, and like most QD-OLED screens, the panel was colorful and well-balanced. If you do, though, want to make a couple of minor adjustments, you can achieve 105% coverage of the DCI-P3 space.

240 Hz OLED gaming monitor now just $269 — 2560 Acer Nitro with QD panel is $81 off

Acer Nitro VG277U Xbiip QD-OLED monitor

So many things in the PC space (and pretty much everywhere else) are more expensive these days. But the price of OLED monitors continues to decline, as evidenced by this 27-inch, 240 Hz model (VG277U Xbiip) from Acer's Nitro line. It sports a 240 Hz QD-OLED panel rated at 400 Nits of brightness and a 0.03 ms response time. That's a lot of monitor for the current Walmart asking price of $269.

VG277U Xbiip: was $349 now $269
This mid-sized gaming monitor sports a QD-OLED panel rated at a decent 400 nits of brightness, with a 240 Hz refresh and a resolution of 2560 x 1440. If you're after a gaming screen on a budget and want inky blacks and saturated colors, this is a tough deal to beat.View Deal

We haven't tested this monitor, so we can't vouch for its performance. But Acer typically makes solid gaming panels, and the QD-OLED panel ensures that the blacks will be truly black and the colors should be vivid. The 400-nit brightness rating isn't the best for an OLED, but it should be more than sufficient, unless you like to game in a bright, sunlit room.

The VG277U Xbiip has one DisplayPort (1.4) and two HDMI (2.1) ports. The bezels are also barely there, save for a small lip at the bottom. And of course, AMD FreeSync Premium is supported, and you should see smooth performance in gaming with an Nvidia card as well. - Matthew Safford

Get into 4K OLED gaming for less with MSI's Pro Max 271UPX12G 120Hz monitor

If you want to get into the crisp motion, deep blacks, and rich color of 4K OLED gaming for less, your options are limited. Most 4K OLED gaming monitors are $750 or more, and we're not seeing a lot of deep discounts on panels with those specs right now. But if you're willing to tolerate a 120Hz refresh rate, MSI's Pro Max 271UPX12G could be a good entry point into this rarefied world. This pro monitor offers a 27" QD-OLED panel with G-Sync Compatible certification. Break the rules and game on it for $579.99.

MSI's Pro Max 271UPX12G 4K OLED monitor isn't marketed as a gaming panel, but it can be one for less if you're willing to break the rules. A 120Hz refresh rate and G-Sync Compatible certification offer smooth gaming along with rich color and deep blacks. View Deal

While a 120Hz refresh rate is a bit low for a hardcore gaming display, it'll still be an upgrade if you're coming from a 60Hz panel. And especially if you plan to drive this display at or near its native resolution with upscaling and aren't a fan of frame generation, the 120Hz refresh rate won't be much of a damper on your gaming experience. Even today's best graphics cards would be hard-pressed to deliver native 4K output at a 120 FPS average in the latest games without frame generation.

The Pro Max 271UPX12G comes factory-calibrated to a Delta E of less than two, and it offers an exceptional 99% coverage of the vivid DCI-P3 color gamut to go with its sharp 4K resolution. It's got two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4a connector, as well as a stand with height, pivot, and swivel adjustments.

If you can compromise slightly on refresh rate, this panel could be a relatively affordable ticket to a 4K OLED at hundreds of dollars less than only slightly faster options. -- Jeff Kampman

Get a QD-OLED monitor for just $280 with this 27-inch, 1440p display with a 144Hz refresh rate

QD-OLED monitors are dropping in price, and Amazon has a particularly good deal going right now on AOC's 27-inch 1440p QD-OLED display. Unlike most 27-inch, 1440p OLED displays, this monitor tops out at a 144Hz refresh rate. The typical 240Hz refresh rate you see on this panel is available, as well, though at a higher $332.49 price. We saw this monitor on sale earlier in the week at $300, and it was a good deal then. An extra $20 off is even better.

27-Inch Gaming Monitor QHD QD-OLED 144Hz: was $329.99 now $279.99
This AOC monitor is a 27-inch QD-OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a refresh rate of 144Hz. AOC rates the response time at 0.03ms, and the monitor comes with G-Sync Compatible certification. View Deal

There are other displays rocking this same panel that are on sale, but they're all more expensive than this AOC monitor. The MSI Pro Max 271QPX14G is $300 on sale, for instance. As with any QD-OLED panel, this monitor has perfect black levels, leading to a theoretically infinite contrast ratio. OLED panels also have extremely fast pixel transition times, leading to those sub-millisecond response time claims.

AOC claims 147.6% coverage of the sRGB and 110.2% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamuts (OLED panels are wide-gamut). For connectivity, AOC includes a single HDMI 2.1 and single DisplayPort 1.4 connection, allow with a 3.5mm audio out. — Jake Roach

Samsung had the display certified with VESA's DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification (typical for this class of OLED), as well as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync Compatible certification. We haven't reviewed this particular model, but most of Samsung's QD-OLED displays can reach their advertised peak 1,000-nit brightness in HDR, and they're generally color accurate out of the box (true of most OLED panels). — Jake Roach

MSI is using an IPS panel, so you should expect peak brightness to top out around 400 nits, and static contrast to sit around 1,000:1. MSI says the monitor is "HDR ready," though most IPS panels struggle with HDR, particularly at this budget price.

Despite being a budget display, MSI still includes an adjustable stand with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments, along with a standard 100 x 100 VESA mount. MSI also includes dual 2W speakers, and although you shouldn't expect great quality out of them, monitor speakers are nice to have as a fallback. — Jake Roach

The included stand offers height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments, as well as the ability to hold the display vertically. If you've been holding off on an upgrade to 1440p, it's hard to look past this deal on the ASRock Phantom Gaming PG27QRT1B. Newegg has the display available for 34% off, taking its list price of $195.99 down to just $127.99. There are some 1080p displays selling for that price right now.

It comes with a speed 180Hz refresh rate, along with FreeSync Premium certification. ASRock advertises a response time of 1ms, but this monitor uses a VA panel. VA panels need high overdrive settings to achieve those low response times, which can lead to adverse image artifacts.

For connectivity, you get two HDMI 2.0 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection. The included stand offers no points of adjustment, but thankfully, there's a standard 100 x 100 mm VESA mount on the back so you can throw the monitor on an arm. — Jake Roach

This $273 1440p, 320 Hz Mini LED monitor is rated to 1000 nits — Innocn GA27T1M is the brightest budget gaming monitor of our current dealscape

Innocn might not be the most well-known brand in gaming screens, but it feels like the company is attempting to burn its name into your brain (or at least your retinas) with this $273 deal on its 27-inch GA27T1M monitor. The panel is HDR1000-rated and brings all 1,000 of the requisite candelas to hit that spec, thanks to its QD-MiniLED tech. If you like bright gaming screens and are on a tight budget, this is the best deal around. Just be sure to locate the brightness control before your first raid, especially if you're gaming in the dark.

GA27T1M 27-inch Mini LED gaming monitor: was $399.99 now $273.57
The 1,000-nit, 1440p Mini LED panel in this monitor can hit 320 Hz refresh, supports variable refresh rates, and has a 0.5 ms GTG response time. Its colors might not be as vivid as an OLED, but you'll definitely see them, even in the brightest sunlit rooms. View Deal

You could spend a little more and get a budget OLED monitor, but you'd have to spend a lot more to get an OLED that's this bright and can hit 320 Hz. And of course, with a Mini LED screen, you don't have to worry about burn-in. But also note that Innocn's warranty is only 12 months, while three years is more typical, particularly for OLED screens.

Asus' 27-inch, 1440p OLED XG27AQDMGR gaming monitor drops to a new low of $384 — 1300-nit HDR screen is $50 below its previous lowest price

Asus makes some of the best gaming monitors on the market, but they're also often some of the most expensive. But that's not the case today, as Amazon is selling the 27-inch OLED XG27AQDMGR for just $384, a new low price by $50. The 1440p WOLED screen sports a 240 Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness rating of 1,300 nits.

ROG XG27AQDMGR 27 Inch 1440p 240Hz OLED: was $599 now $384
This mid-sized, mid-range OLED gaming monitor is well equipped for speed and vibrance, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, with a 0.03 ms gray-to-gray response time rating. A proximity sensor turns the screen off when you step away to help prevent burn-in, and it has a three-year warranty. View Deal

This is expressly labeled as a glossy OLED screen, which means you'll need to deal with reflections in a bright room or with overhead lighting. But the high brightness rating should help mitigate those issues somewhat. And of course, the glossy coating will help those OLED colors visually pop even more.

Grab this gaming mic with a built-in stand for just $45

— Sarah

Creative's line of cute, round Pebble PC speakers are on sale

Creative Pebble Pro

If you're looking for a pair of desktop speakers to elevate your laptop setup without breaking the bank, Creative's Pebble USB 2.0 speakers are the perfect budget-friendly option. These compact speakers feature a distinct spherical shape inspired by the pebbles found in Japanese rock gardens. They measure just 4.4 inches wide and have 2-inch full-range drivers that are angled up 45 degrees so the sound hits your ears when they're placed on a desktop. And they're currently on sale for just $19.99 — yes, it's only $3.75 off their retail price of $23.74, but that's about the most you'll find these marked down.

Pebble USB 2.0: was $23.74 now $19.99
These small, round speakers look stylish, are easy to travel with, and sound pretty good for their size. View Deal

Pebble V3: was $44.99 now $37.99
These round, angled PC speakers feature up to an 8W RMS and offer USB-C, 3.5mm AUX, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. View Deal

The Pebble USB 2.0 speakers feature both USB-A and 3.5mm AUX inputs — they don't need to be plugged into a power outlet, just a standard USB port, so they're perfect for laptops and mobile setups. While the sound isn't necessarily going to wow you, these speakers pack a pretty impressive punch for how small they are. Of course, if you don't mind spending a little more, the Creative Pebble V3 is also on sale for $37.99, which is 16% off its retail price of $44.99. The Pebble V3 has more power — twice as much as the Creative Pebble USB 2.0, or up to 8W RMS — and features USB-C, 3.5mm AUX, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Both the Pebble USB 2.0 and the Pebble V3 come in black and white options (and both colorways are on sale). — Sarah

Thermaltake's View 270 Plus PC case drops to a record-low $49 — E-ATX fish tank style with wood trim is 50% off

With the price of so many components soaring, fewer people are building PCs, which is bad. But on the upside, we are seeing some stellar PC case deals, like this Thermaltake View 270, which is now 50% off at Amazon, or just $49.99 for the black model with wood trim. The case supports up to E-ATX motherboards (ATX, mATX, and mITX are also supported), large PSUs up to 220 mm, and, of course, large graphics cards (or as I like to call them these days, graphics cards).

View 270 Plus WS ARGB: was $99.99 now $49.99
This case features three 120 mm ARGB fans, support for large components, and dark wood accents on the bottom intake area. There's also room for a 360 mm radiator up top.View Deal

This version of the case also includes a trio of ARG fans, so your cooling basics are covered. In terms of design, the View 270 Plus attempts to combine all current case trends: multi-sided glass, RGB, and wood accents surrounding the bottom edge. It's perhaps a bit visually... busy. But there's no denying this is a lot of case for $50, and the top edge sports a trio of USB ports, alongside separate headphone and mic jacks, and power and reset buttons. The connectors for those top-panel ports are also fused into a single block, making for much easier setup. — Matt Safford

Amazon’s Big Prime Deal Days brought some awesome deals out of the cellar, including the Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite X3D Ice ($259), which is a whopping $130 (33%) off the retail price during this sale. The Icy-white AM5 offering is a worthwhile upgrade from most X670 boards, giving users more and faster USB ports, additional M.2 sockets for storage, and native support for 9000 series processors like the venerable Ryzen 7 9800X3D ($429 and includes two freebies) or 9850X3D at $469, which are both currently on sale.

Build your new AM5 rig in white with the X870E Aorus Elite X3D Ice motherboard. You get four M.2 sockets, Wi-Fi 7 and 5 GbE, and plenty of USB ports on the rear IO. The Icy-white design and ridiculous sale price make this one of the top deals for X870E motherboards.View Deal

The Aorus Elite X3D uses plenty of EZ features, including M.2 EZ-Latch (plus, click) to easily remove the plate heatsinks and secure your M.2 device. If you drop in one of the X3D processors, Gigabyte’s X3D Turbo Mode helps extract the most performance out of the chips. It’s also one of the better-looking options in the mid-range space and looks wicked-cool in white.

If you’re in the market for a well-equipped X870E motherboard, Gigabyte’s Aorus Elite X3D Ice is one of the best deals going in the Big Prime Deal Days and one of the best X870E deals we’ve seen in a while. Jump on this one while it lasts.

Specs-wise, this small-form-factor card (only ~2 slots, 50mm wide) has a slight overclock on the base clocks: 2,497 MHz for the core (up 40 MHz from reference) and 28 Gbps across a 256-bit bus for memory. It also sports a dual BIOS (performance and silence), and the ‘Hawk’ fans move a good amount of air, and silently, through the heatpipe-connected heatsink. The card provides semi-passive cooling with the fans remaining off when the card is in a low-load or low-power game. As far as appearance, it doesn't have any RGB lighting, but the all-black look blends in well with any dark build theme.

While the WindForce may be toward the bottom of the product stack, it’s still a capable card with plenty of features. And it’s the least expensive one we could find available right now.

Wavlink’s Thunderbolt 5 docking station with 2.5 GbE LAN dips below $180

If you have a Thunderbolt 5 Windows PC or Mac, investing in a good docking station is critical to supporting a large variety of accessories and monitors. This is especially true for ultrabooks, which often are limited to two external ports that must be shared between charging and connectivity. With that said, Wavlink's WL-UTD58 Thunderbolt 5 docking station is a perfect solution for adding I/O ports and is on sale for $170 (versus a list price of $219.99).

WL-UTD58 Thunderbolt 5 Docking Station: was $219.99 now $170.43
The Wavlink WL-UTD58 is a Thunderbolt 5 docking station that provides three downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, SD and microSD slots, four USB-A ports, and a 2.5 GbE port.View Deal

First of all, it is pretty well stacked with ports:

Front

  • 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2
  • 1x Thunderbolt 5 upstream (80 Gbps bi-directional)
  • 1x Thunderbolt 5 downstream (80 Gbps bi-directional)
  • 1x audio combo jack
  • 1x microSD UHS-II slot
  • 1x SD UHS-II slot

Back

  • 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2
  • 2x Thunderbolt 5 downstream (80 Gbps bi-directional)
  • 1x 2.5 GbE (RJ45) port

I previously tested the WL-UTD58-M version of this dock, which is identical, save for the inclusion of an internal M.2 slot for a PCIe 4.0 SSD. It offers good overall performance and easily accessible ports. My main gripe with the dock is that the Thunderbolt 5 port for connecting to the host machine is on the front of the unit instead of the back. — Brandon Hill

These Mac Mini docks are on sale

If you're getting a Mac Mini on sale for Prime Day, or perhaps picked up a model with an M4, M5 Pro, or M6 sometime this year, you can expand it with a docking station.

You can snag a 240 Hz OLED gaming monitor at Walmart for just $269 — 2560 Acer Nitro with QD panel is $81 off

But Acer typically makes solid gaming screens, and the QD-OLED panel ensures that the blacks will be truly black, and colors should be vivid. The 400-nit brightness rating isn't the best for an OLED, but it should be more than sufficient, unless you like to game in a bright sunlit room.

The VG277U Xbiip has one DisplayPort (1.4) and two HDMI (2.1) ports. The bezels are also barely there, save for a small lip at the bottom. And of course, AMD FreeSync Premium is supported, and you should see smooth performance gaming with an Nvidia card as well. - Matthew Safford

Dell's XPS 13 is one of the best MacBook Neo alternatives for those who prefer Windows. And now, thanks to Best Buy's Techtober sale, you can snag the 8GB model for just $599 ($100 less than the Neo), or double the RAM to 16GB for just $799. That's $200 less than the current price direct from Dell, and a steal if you're in need of a slim and light laptop for mainstream productivity tasks.

XPS 13 (2026): was $799 now $599
This model of the XPS 13 sports a Wildcat Lake Intel Series 3 Core 5 320 CPU, 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 13.4-inch, 2560 x 1600 touchscreen. It weighs just 2.2 pounds. View Deal

When we tested Dell's latest XPS 13, we found it to have a pleasing premium build, excellent speakers for its size, and to be free of bloatware. Performance was also in line with other Wildcat Lake laptops, which makes it fine for basic productivity tasks, but not great for anything too demanding.

The standout feature in our tests, though, was battery life.

At between 14 and 15 hours in our battery test, the XPS 13 beat the MacBook Neo in unplugged longevity by about an hour or more, making it a good laptop if you need to work away from a power plug. It's screen is also no slouch, testing near 400 nits, while being about as colorful as the panel in the MacBook Neo. - Matthew Safford

Corsair's 1000W, modular ATX 3.1 RM1000e power supply hits $109 at Best Buy — lowest-ever price for this beefy PSU with ThermaProtect

Corsair RM1000e ATX 3.1

High-wattage power supplies rarely come cheap, especially from well-established brands like Corsair, but Best Buy is offering up the fully modular RM1000e for just $109, which seems to be a record-low price. The ATX 3.1 PSU is Cybenetics Platinum rated, has a zero RPM mode so it will be silent much of the time, and features Corsair's ThermalProtect 12V-2x6 Cable with Over Temperature Protection (OTB) to (hopefully) keep your precious high-priced GPU from melting down in your expensive rig.

RM1000e: was $179.99 now $109.99
This fully modular ATX 3.1 power supply is rated to 1000 watts, is Platinum rated for efficieny, and comes with a 12V-2x6 cable that features ThermalProtect to monitor for unsafe cable temperatures. View Deal

When we reviewed the RM1000e last year, we praised it for its "tight voltage regulation, excellent ripple suppression, and stable thermal management." It also has a 7-year warranty and ran quietly under typical conditions.

The PSU does use some mid-tier components and doesn't come with a generous amount of accessories, but at this low price that's much easier to accept than when we tested it at $170.

Team Group's 4TB T-Force G50 EVO SSD drops below 10 cents per gigabyte — PCIe 4.0

Thanks to ongoing demand from AI hyperscalers, real SSD deals have been hard to come by for nearly a year now. But Newegg is offering Team Group's 4TB G50 EVO M.2 SSD for $455.99, with a $70 coupon code (APC852) that takes it down to $385.99. That's easily the best price ever for this relatively recent model, and takes the pricing to about 9.4 cents per gigabyte.

Promo code: APC852
This DRAMless PCIe 4.0 SSD is rated to 5,000 MB/s reads and 4,700 MB/s writes, and 1200TBW. It uses 3D QLC NAND, and has a 3-year warranty.View Deal

The Evo model of the G50 looks to have only come onto the market in the last month, and we haven't tested it. So it's tough to drill into details about its performance beyond its model's 5,000 / 4,700 read/write rating. But it's likely a better fit as a secondary drive for games and media than as a boot drive if you're after the snappiest performance.

Still, I've had good experience with Team Group's budget drives in the past. I've been using a 4TB MP44 drive for game storage in my main rig for years and have had zero complaints. - Matthew Safford

Creative's excellent Pebble Pro speakers hit their lowest price since early 2025  — compact 30W USB-C, Bluetooth speakers drop to $59

Creative's Pebble Pros have long been on our list of the best PC speakers for their compact, angled, attractive design and their ability to run solely over USB-C. But their price has crept up over the past couple of years (just like basically everything), making them less of a value play. But now at Amazon, they are back down to $59.99, a price we haven't seen since mid-April of 2025. Considering they've spent most of 2026 at around $75, that makes this a sweet deal if you're looking for a simple, good-sounding desk audio setup.

Pebble Pro: was $69.99 now $59.99
A 14% savings might not seem like much, but these excellent compact speakers have been selling for about $5 above list price for most of 2026. They performed well in our testing and can hit 30W RMS/60W peak, though you'll have to bring your own 30W PD power adapter to get the loudest sound output.View Deal

In our review, we found the Pebble Pros a big step up in sound and bass over the previous-gen Pebble V3s. The speakers are permanently connected to each other, but the cable is an ample six feet long. The drivers are nicely angled up toward your ears, so you don't have to think about speaker stands, and connectivity includes USB-C for data, USB-C PD for power, and a 3.5 mm aux jack. There are also a pair of 3.5 mm jacks on the side of the right speaker for a headset and a mic.

As touched on earlier, you'll need a separate 30W USB power adapter to get the maximum sound output. If you solely draw power via a USB-C connector, the output will be limited to 10W. - Stephen Warwick

This 1440p, 27-inch LG gaming monitor is a steal for under $150

While the Big Deal Days haven't technically started, Amazon's deals right now include this LG curved gaming monitor for just $149.99. The 27-inch LG 27GS60QC-B Ultragear is a good option on a budget and, for less than $150, easily rivals the competition at this price point.

The UltraGear 27GS60QC-B is a 27-inch monitor with a 1440p resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, and 1ms GtG response time. It uses a VA panel and comes with FreeSync support. View Deal

You're getting a 27-inch display there with a 1440p resolution, so this is a good upgrade to consider if you're still rocking a 1080p display. It has a 180Hz refresh rate, along with a 1ms GtG response time. It's a VA panel, so you can expect higher contrast and deeper blacks than IPS rivals, and it comes with AMD FreeSync support to eliminate screen tearing completely. - Ben Stockton

Powerolwl's AA Lithium rechargeable batteries are great for high-drain devices, and you can get eight, plus a charger for $25 ahead of Prime Day

Panasonic's Eneloops have been the gold standard of rechargeable batteries for several years, but they're also expensive. I've had a very good experience with the Powerowl brand, and after shifting to the company's lithium AAs early this year, I'm never going back, at least when it comes to high-gain devices. Today at Amazon, you can grab eight AA, 3600 mWh AA Powerowl cells, plus a USB-C charger, for just $24.99. That's $15 less than the comparable Philips cells. And of the three sets I own, I have had exactly one battery die on me since February.

1.5V Rechargeable Lithium AA Batteries 8 Pack with Charger: was $29.99 now $24.99
These lithium rechargables excel in high-gain devices and are rated to 3600 mWh. They include a charger with a USB-C port (no USB-C charger is included, but you probably own a few), and I've found them to last much longer than NiMH in devices like door locks.View Deal

I've found these batteries to be a game-changer for my smart door locks, with the Lithium cells lasting at least twice as long as the NiMH cells I've used for years. They worked so well that after I bought the first set and used them once, I bought two more.

Out of the 24 batteries that are now in heavy rotation powering my devices since February, I did encounter one cell that stopped working after the first or second charge, which is annoying. But the 23 others are working as expected (or better than expected, really), running my locks for months at a time without complaint.

Rosewill's M.2 SSD cloner is super useful, now just $37 with promo code

Rosewill M.2 SSD cloner

You might not need it right now, but when you need to clone a drive, an M.2 SSD cloner can be a life-saver. And right now, the Rosewill model I own is on sale $12 off, or $37 with promo code FTTF7766 Newegg. It works with NVMe M.2 SSDs (sorry SATA), and can clone a drive either offline, or via software, with a 20 Gbps interface.

NVMe SSD Cloner: was $59.99 now $37.99
$12 off w/ promo code FTTF7766
With support for NVMe M.2 SSDs and offline cloning, this handy device makes it simple to move your files or OS from one drive to another. And with a 20 Gbps USB-C interface, it's also speedy in your OS of choice if you want to use software to clone or move your data between drives.View Deal

Using the cloner is pretty straightforward. You plug in the included USB-C power adapter, put your source drive in the left slot, the destination drive in the right slot, press the power button on the back, and a few logos light up, letting you know you're ready to go. Press the clone button on the top, and drive cloning will commence (provided your destination is the same size or larger than your source).

But you can also use it with your own software, which you'll likely have to do if the drives you are cloning to/from aren't the same size. It can make a complex drive cloning task take just a few minutes, and it's also handy to have if you just need to plug in an old drive to see what, if any, files are on it. - Matthew Safford

Plug in all your USB things with this 11-port powered hub, on sale for $42 – premium hub sports two USB-C data ports, 20W charging port, and seven USB-A

If you’re like me, you’re always running out of USB ports. But I’ve found this powered ikuai hub to be a great solution. It has a 20W charging port on the end and 10 data ports, three of which are 10 Gbps. For those concerned about power draw (or just the peripheral clutter of keeping a bunch of devices connected to your system at all times), it has individual buttons on the side for switching off the ports you aren’t using. It also has a premium metal frame, and is currently on sale at Amazon for $42.49.

11-in-1 Hybrid USB Hub: was $49.98 now $42.49
With 11 ports and up to 10 Gbps speed, a solid aluminum shell, and buttons so you can cut the power to individual ports, this USB hub is a great addition to your desk. It has external power for better stability, and even a 20W USB-C PD port on the end for charging phones or peripherals.View Deal

The sole thing to keep in mind about this (and basically any) hub, is that it has a single 10 Gbps input. So don't expect to plug in multiple high-data devices (like SSDs) and have them run simultaneously at full speed. If that's what you need, you should get a Thunderbolt or USB4 hub, though you'll typically need to spend significantly more.

Acer Nitro MGA270U gaming monitor plummets to just $135 — 27 inches of 200 Hz 1440p gaming goodness

Do GPU, memory, and CPU prices have you feeling down? Well, not every segment of the PC gaming space has been hit with catastrophic price hikes, particularly when it comes to gaming monitors. In fact, gaming monitors have increasingly become more affordable, as maturing OLED technology pushes VA and IPS panels even lower. For instance, take a look at the Acer Nitro MGA270U X2biipx. This monitor has a typical MSRP of $229.99, but Walmart is currently selling the monitor for just $135, representing a $94.99 discount.

The Acer Nitro MGA270U is a great, entry-level 1440p gaming monitor featuring a 27-inch IPS panel. THe Nitro MGA270U has a maximum refresh rate of 200 Hz, and fully supports AMD FreeSync Premium.View Deal

And we're not talking about a staid 144 Hz 1080p panel either; the MGA270U features a 1440p (WQHD) IPS panel with a 200 Hz native refresh rate (AMD FreeSync Premium Pro supported). Acer also gives the monitor its Zero Frame design with an anti-glare finish, which features minimal bezels around the top and sides, and a slightly larger "chin" at the bottom.

Typical brightness is listed at 250 nits, and you'll find two HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 1.4 port onboard.

So if your wallet has been feeling the sting of the AI revolution, treat yourself to this sub-$150 value buy if you're looking to maximize your tech dollars. — Brandon Hill

Amazon disounts its flagship Eero Max 7 Wi-Fi 7 mesh routers by 30%

Amazon Eero Max 7

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost three years since we first took a look at the Amazon Eero Max 7, as it was one of the very first Wi-Fi 7 routers to hit the market. As such, it gave us a glimpse of the speed improvement that would be fleshed out as more Wi-Fi 7 devices hit the market. Given that the Eero Max 7 now has some age on it, Amazon is offering a pretty generous discount, taking 30 percent off configurations.

The Eero Max 7 is Amazon's flagship Wi-Fi 7 mesh router system. This is a 2-pack, with each node featuring two 2.5 GbE ports and two 10 GbE ports.View Deal

That means that you can get the Eero Max 7 2-pack for just 799.99, compared to its usual asking price of $1,149.99.

Save $70 on the MSI MPG X870E Gaming Plus Wifi motherboard – All-time low price of $169 makes this mid-range board a great option to upgrade or start your AM5 build today

Although we’re all neck-deep in the AIpocalypse, some items, like motherboards, haven’t seen prices skyrocket and become unaffordable like RAM, video cards, and storage. In fact, we see quite a few deals on individual boards (read: not in a combo deal with multiple items), and we found a gem in the MSI X870E Gaming Plus Wifi for only $170 ($70 off) with promo code FTT8257. This motherboard, although we didn’t personally review it, is a quality budget X870E solution that supports current and next-gen AM5-based processors and is a solid base for building your new system. Or at this price, a worthwhile upgrade from X670, offering more and faster ports (think more M.2, more USB, etc.), an updated appearance, and native support for 9000 series processors like the Ryzen 7 9800X3D ($429 and includes two freebies) or 9850X3D at $469 that’s also currently on sale.

Matching it's ALL-TIME LOW, the MSI X870E Gaming Plus Wifi is a solid budget-class motherboard on the X870E platform.View Deal

The MSI X870E Gaming Plus Wifi offers users plenty of USB ports on the rear IO, including USB4 (40 Gbps) Type-C, three M.2 connectors (one PCIe 5.0), and four SATA ports for storage, fast networking with 2.5 GbE and Wi-fi 7 (the faster 320Hz version, even), and a black appearance with white highlights that will blend in with most any dark/black build theme. It doesn’t include any RGB bling, but it has plenty of integrated headers to add them if needed.

At only $170 (and $70 off with the promo code) for the X870E Gaming Plus Wifi, this is one of the best standalone deals for a budget X870E motherboard. In fact, it’s one of the least expensive options out there that isn’t an open box. You can probably find X870 or B850 options for less, but you may run into lane sharing with M.2 drives since those platforms offer less available bandwidth from the chipset.
